Malayalam cinema and Positive art

Cinema is one of  the famous art form. Cinema is not only an entertainment. It should be as "enter + attainment" means it should encourage the viewers to attain something or big thing in life. Most of our film makers focus on revenge, love(maram chutti premam), politics, action etc.... but we have large empty space for positive films such as " The pursuit of happiness", "Akeelah and the Bee" and "Rocky" series -which gives inspirational thoughts and hope on the life. Unfortunately in my knowledge, we can not see any such Malayalam films in this category.
Recently I watched a Malayalam movie " Swapna Sanchari" . I regretted so much because i wasted my 3 hours and some money... Actually it is not a feature film, it is a worst melodrama. One more dangerous thing, this film gives a very negative message " High dream or  aim leads to tragedy". It is a blunder message. High dream or aim is very necessary for success. A big dream  helped a mimicry boy from perumbavoor to become a good  actor of Malayalam, Mr Jayaram (hero of film). High dream is necessary to a Kamalluddin Muhamed was born in a village-Mathilakam to become a top Malayalam film director Mr.Kamal (director of the above said film). Then  why they promote the de motivational messages to the society.

In that film, big dream is not the reason for the tragedy. The reason for the tragedy is unaccountability of Money and Time. Most of the Malayalees have no accountability in Money and Time, but the accountability is very necessary  for success. In the film, makers should teach that accountability and the lessons from the mistakes which were made by him. Instead of this they teach a useless deadly attitude of non risky approach. Low aim and non exploration of human potential -both are social crimes. Actually this film encourages for that crime. We have to make a space for positive films. Our film makers kindly learn something from superstar Rajnikanth's films. We can see some attempts in other languages, to make positive films such as Black, Guru etc in Hindi, Rajni films in Tamil.

Three days ago I watched another film "Beautiful". It gave some hope regarding positive films. It is not a pure motivational film. But it creates an inspirational feeling on life. The main characters demonstrate the positive approach in the whole film. Particularly the character Stephan Louise draws the optimism, the hope and the beauty in life. His expressions and dialogues, everything show that faith. Congratulations for Mr. Jayasurya (as Stephen Louise) and Mr. Anoop Menon (good script). We have to make more positive films to break the Malayalee's negative mindsets.
